What happens when it rains on a sand sculpture?

Sand Sculptures can be sealed with a  fixative to shed light rains. If heavy rain is an issue a quality tent can be utilized to build the sculpture under.

How long will a sand sculpture last?

A Sand Sculptures can last a week to a few weeks or even months if sealed correctly and weather permits.  

Can a sand sculpture be built indoors?

Sand Sculptures can be built inside of convention centers, shopping malls or any desired building.

How does Sand stick together and hold it's shape?

Water and compaction stick sand together to form a solid structure.   Plywood or flex forms are used to compact wet sand into layer by layer.   Forms are taken off and the sand is hand carved leaving only compacted sand to hold it's shape.

What type of sand is used to build a sand sculpture?

The best quality sand for sculpting is clean with a fine grain. Sand is found all over the world and sourced locally for every sculpture we build.
